The Always Late Angel

Once there was a little angel who was lways late for choir pratice. When she should have been singing with the heavenly choir, she was usually out riding on a comet or swinging on a star.

One day she hurried back to heaven for choir pratice, lte as usual, but noone was around. "Where is the angel choir?" she asked the gate keeper. "They've gone to earth to sing the good news that baby Jesus has been born," he said.

The little angel tried to catch up but she was too late. The angel choir had already sung their songs and returned to Heaven. Then she heard some shepards talking about the baby they had seen in the stable.

The little angel flew over Bethlehem looking for the stable. "I see it!" she cried. Inside the stable were MAry and Joseph and baby Jesus.

The little angel tiptoed to the baby's bed. Jesus looked up at her nd smiled. Then the little angel sang a heavenly song. She wasn't late for Christmas after all!
