I was walking home from
school on a cold winter day.
It was getting late, and I was scared and alone.
But then a kind old man took my hand and led me home.
Mama couldn't see him,
but he was standing there
And I knew in my heart,
he was the answer to my prayers.
Oh I believe there are
angels among us.
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in out darkest hours.
to show us how to live, to
teach us how to give,
To guide us with a light of love.
When life held troubled times,
and had me down on my knees.
There's always been someone there
To come along and comfort me.
A kind word from a stranger,
to lend a helping hand.
A phone call from a friend, just
to say I understand.
And ain't it kind of funny that
at the dark end of the road,
Someone lights the way with just a
single ray of hope.
Oh I believe there are angels among us.
Sent down to us from somewhere up above.
They come to you and me in our darkest hours
To show us how to live, to
teach us how to give,
To guide us with alight of love.
They wear so many faces, show up
in the strangest places.
To guide us with their mercy,
in our time of need.
To guide us with a light of love.

You have looked over me both night and day
You have taught to me these words I say
When I am looking up, you are looking down
You make me smile and never frown
One thing I have learned right from the start

Weather spoken soft or spoken loud

You look over me while I'm awake
The bond we have will never break
You look over me while I sleep

Then they quietly prove to you how beautiful
and true that feeling really is.
If you come across an angel like this,
you are one of the luckiest people of all.
If someone in your life is wonderfully
like an angel to you,
it's important to let them know.....
It's the nicest compliment you could ever give.....

and in all the years that you live.

How often we wish for another chance
To make a fresh beginning.
A change to blot out our mistakes
And change failure into winning.
And it does not take a special time
To make a brand-new start,
It only takes the deep desire
To try with all out heart.
To live a little better
And to always be forgiving.
To add a little sunshine,
To the world in which we're living.
So never give up in despair
And think that you are through,
